Migration Types We Support
Every type of site change carries SEO risk. We cover the full range of migration scenarios with thorough pre- and post-migration support.
A Migration Is Three Projects, Not One
Most traffic loss after a migration happens because SEO is brought in too late. We get involved before a single page is moved, then stay involved until Google has fully re-crawled and re-indexed the new site.
- Pre-migration crawl and benchmark of current rankings and traffic
- Full URL mapping of old to new pages
- Redirect plan written and signed off before go-live
- On-site review of staging environment before launch
- Post-launch monitoring of crawl errors, ranking shifts, and index coverage
- Issue identification and fix within days, not weeks
What You Receive
Clear documentation, direct involvement at each stage, and a rapid response plan for anything that goes wrong at launch.
- Pre-migration SEO benchmark report
- Complete URL redirect mapping spreadsheet
- Staging environment SEO checklist review
- Post-launch crawl report within 48 hours of go-live
- 30-day post-migration monitoring and issue resolution
E-E-A-T: Why It Matters for Your Rankings
Google’s quality guidelines centre on Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. Sites that demonstrate strong E-E-A-T signals consistently outperform competitors in competitive search results.
Every piece of SEO work we deliver is built with E-E-A-T in mind, from structured author credentials and first-hand experience signals to authoritative backlinks and transparent business information.
This is not about ticking boxes. It is about building a site that Google and your customers genuinely trust.

SEO Migration FAQs
As early as possible — ideally before any development work begins on the new site. The earlier SEO is involved, the less corrective work is needed later. Key decisions about URL structure, content architecture, and redirect strategy are much easier to get right during the planning phase than to fix after launch. If your migration is already underway, bring us in immediately — it is never too late to reduce risk.
A small, temporary fluctuation in rankings and traffic is normal as Google re-crawls and re-indexes your site. This typically settles within four to eight weeks if the migration has been executed correctly. Significant or sustained traffic loss — anything over 10–15% that does not recover — is a sign that something went wrong and requires investigation. Our post-migration monitoring is designed to catch these issues early.
A redirect map is a document that pairs every old URL on your site with the corresponding new URL, along with the redirect type (typically 301 for permanent moves). Without one, you risk broken links, lost link equity, and pages that simply disappear from Google’s index. A thorough redirect map is the single most important deliverable in any migration where URLs are changing.
Yes. Post-migration recovery is one of the most common scenarios we encounter. We start with a crawl of the new site, compare it against an archive of the old site, and cross-reference against your Google Search Console data to identify exactly where and why traffic has been lost. Common causes include missing or broken redirects, deindexed pages, lost canonical signals, and content that did not transfer correctly. We build a prioritised fix list and implement it as quickly as possible.
Not always, but more often than people expect. If a redesign involves changes to your URL structure, navigation, page templates, or content — and most significant redesigns involve at least some of these — then SEO oversight is strongly recommended. Even visual-only redesigns can inadvertently remove schema markup, change heading structures, or break internal linking in ways that impact rankings. A pre-launch review catches these issues before they cause harm.
